Giulia Santambrogio
In the background of every work by Giulia Santambrogio lies a sense of absence, a constant presence in her life. Her research stems from a paradoxical question: what weight does an absence have? Emptiness becomes a space for reflection, the possibility of rebirth and vital force.
His works tell stories of absence through dreamy, blurred images, working primarily with oil paints on canvas. His language engages with Matisse, Yves Klein, Rodin, and Japanese aesthetics, transforming emptiness into breathing space and the viewer into part of the narrative.
Since 2022, she has collaborated with brands such as Falconeri and Intimissimi in Italy and Switzerland, participated in multidisciplinary performances with Nhuda Dance Academy, and created commissioned works for private individuals. She has been a finalist in international contemporary art competitions such as the YICCA Art Prize and the Vittorio Viviani Prize, exhibiting in Milan and Nova Milanese.
